Hi all,

Looking through my slide boxes I came across this V200. Could figure in a topic "Weathering for the bold-hearted" biggrin

Would it be an idea to collect original member photos of famous prototypes under separate topics identified by their "names" in the prototype section? Alternatively, there could be a small group of famous prototypes along with photo groups according to country.

That could be a nice body of background knowledge.

Here is one I took at the Tecknik Museum in Berlin. A restored V200:

Hi all,

Ron: nice contrast between the two photos. Look at the black vs metallic filters! (are they filters??).
Steven: great link for info!
Guus: thanks for supporting the suggestion.

I think it would be a great idea to have a folder or folders for photos of the real things, like locos, cars, stations, etc, that relate to railroading. they should preferably be photos that members have taken - originals you know.

Hi all,

The photo dates back to around 1974; the V200 has just replaced a Dutch engine at the head of an international train that is to leave Hengelo (Overijssel, Netherlands) for Germany and beyond. (May even have a coach destined for Moskva, if it is the D-train from Hook of Holland to Moskva. Imagine: travelling from Hook of Holland to Wladiwostok in two trains!)
