Looks great. I had one of the earlier versions with csine motor and sound. I loved it, but had to sell it a while backSad. I might have to get me one of the new ones some time soon.

The layout looks great also.

I am glad you are happy with your purchase of the 30210, FMS. This locomotive is a real beauty! They work, and work and work, and never give up. I too have one of these, but unfortunately, it is still in the box.

Cheers,
Ranjit

Is it the newer 30210 locomotive that you have, David, or is it the older one?

Cheers,
Ranjit

Hi Chris,

You won't regret it if you get one. It is a pity you had to sell the older one.

Cheers,
Ranjit

Both, Ranjit. I have a V200 from the 3122 starter set from the 1970's, the 30210 V200, and the 39803 V200 with full sound.

Love those V200's

Thank you for that information, FMS.

I wish I had a layout. I would love to see the V200 doing the rounds even just for short periods. It is so therapeutic!

Cheers,
Ranjit

Hi Ranjit!
Yes, it's therapeutic! Somehow the hobby really helps me to get away from bad situations. During the winter is very relaxing to stay at home running trains, working the layout, cleaning locos and listening good music...nice, very nice.
Hey Ranjit, the carpet bahn it's also a layout!!And one day my friend i bet you will have your layout the way you want it!Smile

Thanks Guys,

Indeed the 30210 is a beautiful loco,i have one too,i keep it static in a display cupboard, together with some other Maerklin treasures.
Just wondering whether there will be more of these retro products in future.
Looking at the tinplate coach sets they released recently,i guess M are making a real effort to go back to the future,so to speak.
One of my big wishes: more tinplate USA boxcars!
Have more than you show, speak less than you know (Shakespeare).

I hope so! Guess we will find out in late January when the 2011 new items are announced.

There was also the 3 pack set of E03's issued in a retro box this year, so let's hope there are more of this type of item.
