I have just received my V200 (trix 22373) and it is quite noisy....I oiled it but I think it still needs more running in...

It is basically a DCM model - so by design, there'll be plenty of gear noise.
It will never ran as quietly as worm gear driven, can motor powered models like Re4/4 I, BR218 or BR141.

AFAIK Trix V200 has never been upgraded with Sinus motor, unlike in the Marklin range - where they used Sinus motor from about 2000 until 2010. From 2011 new items; Marklin V200 will revert back to DCM.

Make sure its rotor axle also has a drop of oil on each side;
some running in will help to make it a better runner.
Now collecting C-Sine models.
