How do you use a monitor with the CS3 is it a straight forward plug in or do you have to run a PC

I would like whatever is on the CS to be on the monitor of a larger version.

The CS3 does not have an output for a separate monitor. With the CS2 you could use the Computer Interface Software for the CS2 to control the CS2 from a PC, but I don't think this software works or works well with the CS3.

There isn't as yet a specific version of that software for the CS3.

There is information how you can use bigger screen ( if your PC have bigger scree)

I have used VNC-connection for CS3 connection very much and it works fine. You have to be patience though. All information goes via network and there are sometimes some kind of delays.

Ps.
I forgot to say that I have 23 inch touch-screen connected to my desktop computer and I use CS3 Plus via VNC-connection with that screen. It really works fine.

So the summary is:
You cannot simply connect and external monitor to the CS3 and get a mirror of the display. You need a PC as well.

Once you have a PC, you can use a VNC client on the PC to get the CS3 interface mirrored on your computer display. (or possibly the web interface to connect to the CS3 via http protocol)
In the future, there may be a CS3 dedicated software application, tough its not clear what advantages that could provide you would not get directly via VNC connection today.

Yes, if the CS3 had an HDMI or Thunderbolt or USB-C type connection to get video out, one could potentially hook up a touch screen external monitor, but alas, that wasn't built into the CS3, I imagine for limited use cases vs the cost of development, certification and manufacturing.

Thank you so much for all this information, I did have a CS2 in the past and now getting back into the hobby and may buy the CS3 and I am a little disappointed that with all the bells and whistles on the CS3 there is no HDMI output.
I was thinking there maybe other options but thanks for the clarification
