Im gone have ten trains running and
they randomly gone come to my four
track station
So my question is if i dont use
breakmodule i have to create an event
for each train on each track?
And that gone be 40 events
im i right or wrong?

Hello Mille
Brake modules Märklin 74442 are a relay with some components to make the train reduce its speed and stop in front of a signal.
In digital (your case I believe), it looks like this:
Sans titre.png
So, they are like an electromechanical device and need a decoder and also need a signal which may be a simple luminous one.

Now, back to the CS3. See the brake modules like signals (which may be complemented by cosmetic signals). So you will have the exact same number of events with or without brake modules.

If you permit me, I started using brake modules 74442. It turned out to be:
- costly
- a lot of wiring for all insulated sections
- a pain in the neck for bi-directional blocks

So I first replaced them with a simplified system with DC voltage with a 5W car lamp in series, (to avoid damaging anything when the slider, by accident would connect the DC and digital power) and a relay to turn on and off the slow down.
Here is my layout with a CS2 and those relays

It worked fine but I was still not satisfied wiring, relays, contact tracks 24994

So I experimented Rocrail on my laptop and the result was:
- costwise, only one CAT5 cable to link my CS2 with my laptop (that I use for all purposes and of course my contribution to Rocrail (what I want, when I want, no obligation but a fair due when you are satisfied)
- a much simplified layout wiring: no stop or slowdown sections
- contact sections and S88 sensors that I would have anyways to report on trains position
- no signals nor relays needed (in shadow stations) except for decoration reasons
- big simplicity for bi-directional blocks
- any train can become a shuttle without ANY change required (slider change)
- much more automation possibilities

Now, it looks more like this

Cheers
Jean

It depends because there are variation by control your layout.
1. Analog control via switchable track section by use brake modul.
2. Half digital control brake system if you want to have under ground automatic control old way while train station area you can use brake modul.
3. All automatic control with brake modul or and via S88 by program in the CS3.
I am not sure what your layout looks like in function or what you want.
I have seen a lot of video in the Youtube and they show what there is possible to control your trains.
It is a lot of work and if you know how sure the traffic shall work you will see results.
A screen layout will make effect easier way to control your layout too.

I have just look at the breakmacro
there is show that you must use it
for every loco that gone pass that
contact track trigger
Right or wrong?

Yes, I'd think you would.

Hi Mille
I have tried to use the Märklin macros (Block, Loop, If, Random, etc) and they are "une usine à gaz" (a way to make simple things very complicated)
I suggest you use events like you would with memory command strings on a CS2. If not, you will get lost in a zillion of elementary events (macros) calling each other.
Just my opinion. When I compare these Märklin CS3 events with what you can do with Rocrail, it is really night and day.
Cheers
Jean
