I have a CS3Plus with 50+ locomotives. Since some time, I get a message saying "The decoder has been read" approx. once every minute or less. Does anybody know why this is happening and how to solve it? I tried to relink all mfx locomotives, but it didn't solve it. All locomotives work fine, it is just this message continuously appearing on the screen.
Has anybody had the same problem?
Thanks!

Mariano

One try could be to delete the engines from the CS, and then register them again on the programming track. Shouldn’t be required according to Märklin, but I’ve seen several postings in this direction.

Myself, I left Mxf for pure DCC and MM some time ago, and I’m happy since.

Hi Mariano
No need for a loco reset (which will change all your adjustments)
Simply:
- install the loco on the programming track
- go to the loco edit mode
- select the loco
- select the register tab (on the right and wait until all registers are loaded
- finished

You must do this for each recent Märklin locos you have (mSD2 and mSD3 generations, mSD I am not sure)

This situation is created by the new 2.5.1 s/w update on the CS3 where firmawate of Märklin locos has been updated.
Once "updated" by the CS3, the locos were moved to the registration list (ahead of loco list. This is signalled by the red oval tab being replaced with a red contour tab
I have 28 MFX Sound locos on my layout and since I did this there is no problem anymore.
Cheers
Jean

Is it normal for a decoder to read the parameters whenever you select the cv menu? The menu to the right not the setup menu.
This is my experience from 2021.
Since this latest 2.51 update, I have a green dot on the system screen for every use for the first time.
