I recently upgraded to a CS3. Since my homebrew software uses the 6051 command set, I currently have a 6051->6021->connect-6021 inserting the commands into the CAN bus to control the trains. I would like to use my Intellibox in place of the 6051/6021 due to the higher serial speeds, but it does not want to communicate through the connect-6021. Any suggestions. (It is nice to be back in the Marklin hobby. I took a couple of years off to devote my time to amateur radio, but am now back) |

You can use a USB to serial adapter to connect your computer to the Intellibox. I used to do this in the past using the 6021 serial protocol. Gopal

Welcome back Ron.
Software such as iTrains allows you to bridge multiple controllers, which could help with what you are trying to do.

I really need to get tie IB working through the connector on the side. It mates up with the connect6021 but will not pass commands. I know it is connected because if I hit the run button it puts the CS3 in standby. My old 6021 works fine here but I want the additional control and speed that the IB offers. |

Another option is to use a Raspberry Pi running JMRI as an intermediary between the IB and CS3. Not a clean solution, though. Probably best to punt on the IB and look for some used Marklin controllers.

I am currently using a 6021/6051, but would like to gain the functionality and speed of the IB. |
