I assume you mean it came without wiring. However, are you saying that you opened up the transformer and there is no internal wiring to the yellow, brown and red terminal posts or are you asking what external wiring needs to be added to power the track? I assume you mean the external wiring, but since you are asking for replacement wiring to supply the terminals, it is better to ask what you mean.

red and brown connect to the track. The ac voltage (train speed) is controlled by the knob. Actually brown is a common ground on these old transformers. Yellow and brown are fixed ac voltage of about 15V. It is used for lights and to power accessories like switches, signals, uncoupler tracks, etc. through the appropriate control box(s).

One of the straight tracks should contain a red and a brown wire soldered to it. Check the contents again...

The brown wire goes to the metal trackbed/ballast.
The red goes to the centerstrip of pukos.
The yellow connector is not used in this case.

Normally you can do these connections yourself, but if it is a gift to a child, you might want to get replacement items #5111, #5131, #5103.
Either should be fairly easy to come by..

Please note that you only need one of those feeder tracks recommended, not all 3. Also if you ever plan on going digital you would not want the feeder track 5131 because you would need to cut out the supplied capacitor.

Also if you have a good soldering iron and soldering skills you could always make your own feeder track. Since you live in California you should have access to a Frys electronics store and could obtain a small pack of #22AWG stranded red and stranded brown (or black if brown is not available) wire, solder the red underneath a piece of track to the centre rail and the brown (or black) to the outer rail metal. (assuming you have M track, not K or C) The other end then is connected to the corresponding red and brown terminals of your transformer.

Thanks PMPeter, I should clarify that the Hollywood I live is in Florida, one more question , the tracks don't seem to have any attachment points for the wires.

Oh. Nice place and good hamburgers at "Le Tub"!

No you don't have a Frys in Florida as far as I know, but you should have other electronics stores that sell small gauge wire. Radio Shack perhaps.

Assuming you are talking about the all metal M track, then no there are no connection points. You just have to solder the brown wire to any part of the metal except for the black centre rail. For the centre rail you can solder the red to any part of it or at the centre connector at either end.

Yes, it is like PMPeter says; You only need ONE feeder track for this start set.

The soldering can easily be done by yourself, though. Like this;

I certainly hope by welding rod you mean soldering iron. An actual welding rod hooked to a welding machine would destroy your piece of track and the wire you are trying to attach.
