Hello All,

Installing a couple track end bumpers (Marklin 24978) with LED and confused. Guess I thought these would be powered by the C track when I added to the layout but now thinking need to do something else. The instruction that came with the bumper isn't helpful. One wire is soldered to the O side of the track and then there is another longer black wire not connected to anything. Where/what am I suppose to connect that long black wire to. I am running digital and control trains with a Mobile Station 2. Any and all help is much appreciated.

Thanks in Advance,

The grounding is done when you connect it to the tracks. If it doesn't light up when you power up your layout and take the controller off stop to go, then the black wire either connects to the B side terminal of the adjoining track? Unless you want to connect it to a swithcing box or M84 decoder.

The black wire needs to be connected to either your B power wiring or to your (yellow) lighting circuit wiring. You can test the LED function by touching the black wire to one of your pukos on the C track. It should immediately light up.
