Hello How do we connect the 74042 to the back of the  z21? 1-do we cut one end and make a connection to a green phoenix connector?  2-do we need a stronger 12 awg wire?  Also; how do you call a system that is composed of 3 rail C-track + z21 controller and software + Marklin 3 rail locomotives and Marklin rolling stock? Thank you. Best Regards Lusito

When the layout grows you can use a bigger bus wire. When you make your own feeder tracks, you can solder the blank ends to the tabs of the C track. I would not trust the plug connections for C track that is glued or screwed to the layout.
