Hi, I have 2 oval tracks powered separately by 2 transformers. I am not able to get them operating independently? For example if I set transformer 2 to zero, the track is still powered by transformer 1. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

With turnout perhaps? Isolate middle rail at connection(s) and use two feeder tracks. (Or, transformers are connected, which can be hazardous) Edited by user 22 August 2022 18:32:04(UTC)

Sounds like you have no track isolation between the 2 ovals, which is dangerous and quite frankly rather stupid because as Ben points out the two transformers are connected and if you unplug one of them you will have 240v appear on that plug. You need to isolate at every point where the ovals are connected - use a thin piece of cardboard and slip that in between the two centre tongues at the connecting join so that neither tongue touches the other. I hope I'm not being too harsh on you, that's not my intention. However, there are mistakes that don't result in much damage, there are those that can kill you. This is one that can kill you. (excuse the spelling - should read 'Isolator') I suggest you download and read the following manual from Marklin - Connecting Electric Railways Connecting_Electric_Railways.pdf (3,092kb) downloaded 473 time(s).Edited by user 22 August 2022 10:43:59(UTC)
