Hello
I have those cars and run them o M Track 5100/5200 curves and 5% grades. You need to change the wheelsets for Märklin équivalent and they run fine.
Regards.
UserPostedImage German trains era I-II and selected III, era depends on the mood, mostly Maerklin but i can be heretic if needed XD, heresy is no longer an issue.. LOL

And they certainly are nice looking coaches!
Regards,
Jim

I have almost all Märklin and mostly HO, although I do have a small number of Z gauge trains!
So many trains and so little time.

Hi Hess
I have both these sets and run them as a four car unit.
The wheel sets should be the standard schicht/piko of the time in which case it is quite easy to take them out one by one and twist the insulated wheel ( with the plastic inner bush with the intention of moving it in about 1mm - i just did it by eye, and them measured with a capliper for 13.9 to 14 mm back to back. The wheel dimensions are quite coarse - about the same as older marklin stock, so there is plenty of tread width available.
They run absolutely fine on all 3 marklin tracks - M K & C.
You will need to attach the coach units together using the outer holes to give a wider spacing for use on M 5100 and 5120 curves.- this is more a factor of the geometry of articulation than the wheel back to back.
Have fun
Charles
