I have a lot of N scale tracks and some Rocos rolling stock inclusive MiniTrix locos etc.
Since I have this mobile station lying more or less unused I plan to build up a layout with these tracks. I plan to convert these locomotives to digital this year if time permits. I have seen that MiniTrix are DC operated and that this station is included in starter sets. My question is: Can this mobile/Central station 2 be used on a digital layout (DC) and the locos converted with a decoder?
Any information most welcome

Hi! Digital layouts are neither AC nor DC, they are "digital". The MS2 (either Märklin or Trix) can be used for two-rail and three-rail layouts of any gauge. All locos need suitable decoders with DCC, mfx, or MM. Neither SX nor FMZ are supported. Same goes for Central Station 2. |

Gunnar Yes, the Mobile Station 2 runs DCC trains as well as mfx and fx (MM). The grey and the black versions with Märklin or Trix logo are all DCC compatible. The track voltage can’t be changed, so it’s the same as H0, bit at least the decoders offered for Minitrix are OK for this. |

The track voltage depends on the power supply that is used. You can use 16 V DC or 14 V DC to get a lower track voltage for N gauge. But, as you write, this should not be necessary. |
