I see the newer MS2 has readouts for "Mains" (I presume current being drawn while running trains, approx. 0.8- 1.1A); "Voltage" (more or less constant on 17.9-18.1V), and also "Temperature" (starts at about 24 degrees C and goes up to 42/43 degrees C).
What temp is being measured??Huh

Joe,

I can not answer the question exactly but I assume the temperature of the unit/'computer panel. My CS2 shows the same reading range - maybe the highest is 41.

The temperature inside the box (60112 or 60113).

BTW: I don't know which temperatures can be considered safe or dangerous.

I would not worry if temperature stays below 50° C.

Electronics will last longer if they stay cooler. So a few ventilation slots and a PC fan could help to extend the life of the track box 60113 (but would immediately void your warranty), but I think it won't be worth the effort.

OT: an MS2 with software 1.81 should be able to update other MS2s connected to the same track box also to version 1.81. It can also update the software of the track box (from 0.00 to 1.39).
