Hi
An issue has arisen with my ms 2, in that I am no longer able to change loco addresses, in fact, when I use the 'change loco' function, there is a line through the address function. Can anyone let me know how this can be resolved other than resetting the station?
Many thanks.

I'll be interested in seeing any replies to this as I occasionally see the same, but think it's always the same loco, which makes me think it must be the type of decoder.

Hi
I think I've resolved, I've been away from the trains for a few years and just getting back into it. It appears the inability to change address relates to the mfx function, which allocates a unique address on registering?
Thanks

Thanks Yes if you use mfx protocol this locomotive have unique adress and you do not need to change the adress. Today Märklin have other protocol which you can use if you like. For example use DCC and you allow to change loco adress if you like. Then in case you must use manuell input by change anything via CV adress. Attention!! Only one locomotive stand alone on the track when you change value in the CV adress. Be sure that your loco decoder support also DCC protocol. |
H0 DCC = Digital Command Control
