Hi guys

I was wondering if you could help me. I want to try out Märklin Digital for my H0 2-rail layout. Since it talks DCC I thought I would give it a try. So I have bought a Mobile Station 2, a railbox and the power-thing.

The mobile station itself works fine with decoders that do not talk mfx, but:
I needed a decoder for my Trix 22143 (BR 141) locomotive. So I bought a 60942 mLD as well. I use DCC as my command control and thus I want the mfx disabled. But before I can get to disabling mfx, the loco has already identified itself as an mfx locomotive. After that things get weird, and I am unable to change any CVs and disable mfx.

What have I tried?
1. I have changed the locomotive protocol setting in the MS2 to DCC only.
- The MS2 still identifies mfx locomotives.

2. I have tried to manually enter the locomotive as DCC and from here change CV 50 to 0 (this should disable all protocols except DCC according to the manual).
- It did not work however. The locomotive still identifies itself as mfx and the manually entered entry for the locomotive is not responding to commands.

I no longer have any clue on what to do.

I hope some of you Mobile Station wizards out there can help me! :-)

Mobile station info:
SW: V. 1.83
HW: V. 2.0
LDB: V 013 (2013/3)
Language: V 1.48
File system: V 1.0
Can-Bus Master

Cheers

That sounds like the right move.
Then delete all mfx locos (or even do a factory reset if you don't mind losing all locos from the list).
Then unplug the power, slowly count to 10, plug in the power and try again.

I think I already tried that. Do you really need to turn the system on and off if you switch protocol modes? The manual is VERY unclear on many subjects, and this one is not very well covered if at all.

Is there a more comprehensive manual somewhere?
