Also, can you tell if the noise is coming from the tender (rear) or from the motor (locomotive). If it comes from the tender, it may be a short on the circuit board. If it comes from the locomotive, it is likely an issue with the motor/wiring. I did notice that no light comes on when powered. Can you also post a bigger photo of the tender showing the decoder/PC board and the bogies? Can you also explain whether you are powering up the track or attempting to reverse the direction? I suspect a short circuit somewhere. I haven't listened to the video, but could almost guarantee your problem is the engine needs a drop of oil on the motor bearings. A tiny trace on the gears and axles as well will help the running.

Joined: 07/01/2015(UTC) Posts: 727 Location: England, Suffolk		looking at the magnet's level of corrosion I agree with KiwiAlan. A drop of oil on the motor and on the axles. I would also check that all cables are soldered properly, corroded solder points aren't good for circuits
