Ok, so I am in a situation where I am losing my train room for the medium term now, and so am going to have to put my model trains into storage. That being said, they’ll be in climate control storage, but what are people’s thoughts about adding desiccant packets to the inside of the boxes as well? Useful, or just unnecessary? Thanks |

If it is climate controlled then probably unnecessary, but at the same time wouldn't hurt either. Just make sure the bags are physically up against the trains to be safe

if the place is truly climate controlled you should be ok. Humidity is a bigger danger than some heat, so I would 100% use the silica packs- they are cheap insurance... |
