When you start click any button on the mapping or configuration the system shuts down? A question...do you have older mfx locomotive on the track? It could be this problem which disturb system. You have to leave the CS3+ to Märklin service. Do you have still warranty?

It's possible to make backups to a USB stick and then you can try to reset it or update it via an ethernet cable to your router (or switch) or a combination of these things. The backup can then be reloaded (unless the fault lies within the backup data).

Sometimes it crashes, other times it freezes and I can only recover by cutting power. I have sent it in to Marklin repair, but I fear they will not see the problem because it is so erratic.

I had some similar issues with my CS2 which is feeded by a Märklin 60061. The problems started after adding a Märklin 60175 booster having a different power feeder. On some forums, I found recommendations to use the same kind of power feeder for the CS2 and all boosters. When exchanging the power feeder for a 60061, everything was great again.

Joined: 12/08/2006(UTC) Posts: 9,289		And i am disapointed at Märklin who has bad service. They have service at link by writing to them but the answers takes so long time. Not many who use CS3 knows about the problems appears and how to fix the problem. I too did have some issues with the CS3.

A neighbor has a new vehicle, and the dash screen has gone dead twice. The dealer has it now again, and I suspect these are chip related issues in your case too. The i.c. chip shortages or defective ones. A resin supply shortage is also affecting the medical device supply chain.

Hi all.I had some issues as well with my CS3+ (Black screen and so) and just like "Copenhagen" I successfully could reset and reinstall all via the WEB access service (remote control)

What size power supply do you have and what size power supply is the cs3 configured to expect. If you have it configured to use the high power supply but you use a lower power supply then this can be a symptom.
