Our ETE-ENE club layout is 17' X 34' and is available for members to run their locos. As a consequence it has a large number of locos registered. Recently I encountered the CS3, which is a + and has a CS2 as a slave, repeatedly rebooting while trying to find a previously registered loco. Is there any way to determine how much of the CS3+ memory is being used. And I seem to remember reading somewhere that it is possible to augment the memory by attaching a memory card to the CS3+. Where did I read that or can find the instructions on how to do it?

Hi rfl, in the CS 3 big book, you simply plug in the SD card. No other settings are needed. It is recommended you do not use SD cards as removable media but only for the express purpose of memory expansion. Do both reboot repeatedly, or just the CS 2? Extra CS 3 memory won't help the CS 2. As a CS 2 memory fills up, it slows down and will reboot repeatedly. Available memory for the CS 3 must be in the system status by scrolling through the menus. If not, I don't know.

Thanks. After posting I checked my downloaded CS3+ pdf manual and found the information. Still hoping someone knows where to find how much memory is used up. But $15.00 or less for a 32GB memory card it is a cheap investment even if it is not a solution.
