Hello,

I have programmed an ESP32 that connects via WiFi to the local network, where the Märklin CS3+ and the PC with Rocrail are connected. The ESP32 sends S88 events via UDP to the CS3+ IP on port 15731. The ESP32 simulates a feedback contact by switching its value every 2 seconds (device 0, contact 2). On the CS3+ display, I can see that the feedback contact value automatically changes every 2 seconds (from gray to yellow to gray, etc.). This means that communication from ESP32 -> CS3+ seems to be working.

I have also connected the CS3+ to Rocrail (via TCP), and bidirectional communication between CS3+ <-> Rocrail is also working: When I manually change the feedback contact values on the CS3+, the feedback sensors in Rocrail are updated accordingly (16:35:14 9999 sensor 0:2 state=0 value=100, 16:35:13 9999 sensor 0:2 state=1 value=100, ...). So far, so good.

However, what is not yet working is that the events sent by the ESP32 do not reach Rocrail via the CS3+. Somehow, the communication ESP32 -> CS3+ -> Rocrail is not working.

Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this?

Best regards,
Mike

I have no idea what ESP and TCP etc is. Model rail is becoming a different hobby for me but good that he problem was solved.
Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.

i'm curious; are you using the built in rocrail:wio functionality here? or have you rolled your own?

I'm not sure what Mike is using, but the MBUS controller type has this functionality in Rocrail - I use it.
