Hello Form Members
I have two Marklin analogue locomotives that I have fitted with MFX sound decoders however I am unsure who the manufacturer is, as the serviceman who fitted them has gone out of business.
The problem: when these two loco restart after stopping at a red signal they reverse up a small amount before going forward again which I find most annoying. Any help to cure this problem appreciated.
Regards

Hi Russell,

I suggest you give Dion at toottoot a call. He will be able to help.

Cheers....

Mike.

I wonder if this is the famous decoder 'alzheimer's' symptoms, when they forget their speed settings after a momentary loss of power.

Russell, try searching the forum for 'alzheimer'.

One such thread is here: https://www.marklin-user...ult.aspx?g=posts&t=11161

Hi David
Thanks for your reply. I am not sure if its me who suffers from alzheimers & not the decoder, I can never find my glasses. I did find someone that thought it is a Marklin 60931 and that I would be able to cure the problem using a Mobile Station in the "edit loco menu" by selecting Preset, which I understand resets all the values back to the manufactures settings, & then reestablishing your own settings (acc, dec, vmax, vol). I am happy to report it worked & the "reversing up problem" no longer exists.
Kind regards
