Came across this plan in "naked Marklin" - its meant for about a 2,6mx1.3m board, and so i had to do some serious adaptions to fit it on my 1.8m board, but I think its a pretty workable layout - any thoughts?
Joe

I've also added a fair bit of shunting tracks on the left as well; the max height of my home made piers is 70mm, but so far all seems to clear!

Looks good. Is the picture the original or the plan you modified? Waiting on pictures. TIA.

thanx Ian, yes 5200 on outside, and I have used curved points to join the two inner ovals. Saves quite a bit on space, and frees up my other turnouts for the shunting yards
Will try to download some photos, before I start stripping to paint and glue the piers and track.
My wife wants to know when am I ever gonna get finished changing my layout......they just don't understand do they!?!....is one ever finished??
Cheers, Joe

its the original - I have made numerous changes, mostly forced because of space constraints, but will post pics soon.....if I remember how to!!
thanks, Joe

Joe,

Have just seen this post !
Now I understand exactly how you came to build the layout that you have done. Including the bridge !
Well done so far.
Next step is to connect the wiring and to add some nice scenery !

Regards,RollEyes
John

Ah yes, the wiring.....I'm still waiting patiently, according to Ian,if you leave them long enough, they grow together....as they would say on face-book....lol!!
Have to work this weekend, so hopefully next weekend we can all get together

Hi and good morning from thessaloniki.
What type of program do you use ?
And why don't you use a combination of 5107/ 5200 or 5129 / 5200 ?

christos563.

Hi Christos - I changed over to C track a good while ago - and the layout has also substantially changed as well!!
The board is now in the form of a U - Still have the basic shape above, but now with lots of added station areas, and shunting yards.....
regards, Joe

Do you have any side diagrams of the bridge elevation? I'm currently redesigning mine as well and never done a bridge before. Blushing (I REALLY like this design Love )
