How do you open the new white marklin transformers?

A part is loose inside of mine and I need to open it up to perform the repair.

Do you need a special tool to open them or can it be done with common tools?

Have a look in the Digital forum section, the topic "Repair Interface 6050" thread tells you one way to do it. This procedure is "general" to all white Märklin control boxes...

Failing that - a sledgehammer. Your rattle will then be masked by several others...

The drilling and screw method worked great. I found it was best to pry them out with one needle-nose plier under another one which would lift the screw.
I suppose you can re-insert these plugs and use them again.

Thanks again.
