Hello...I am wondering if I could power 3 Marklin HO engines with a single Marklin transformer #6646. Thanks for any advice. Dietrich

Hi Dietrich The transfo is 32VA, depending on the loco you use and if you use signals (not all locos are running simultaneously) the needed power will vary from 10W (one modern loco with LEDs), to 20 W (one old 3015 / CCS800 loco). multiply this by the number / type of locos you have and you will get the result.
Usually for most Märklin usual types, one such transfo is good for 1 to 2 trains running simultaneously. Note: the steam generator add approx. 10W to the needed power Cheers Jean |
