What is the minimum desirable spacing between straight C-track? Could the roadbeds of adjacent tracks touch or, in other words, is there much/any Marklin rolling stock that is wider than the base of C-track?
Thinking here of hidden storage tracks and getting the maximum into a small space.
Yes, there would be clearance issues entering and leaving the parallel sidings and some severely hacked track pieces ... but if they don't sell it, you've got make it.

According to MOROP, the European association that federates national associations of railroad and model railroad enthusiasts, the distances between straight standard H0 gauge tracks - measured from track centre to track centre - should not fall below the following values: open track: 46 mm yards: 52 mm Source (see point #2): https://www.morop.org/do...oads/nem/de/nem112_d.pdf |

The rolling stock envelope specified in NEM 301 is 40mm (kinematic for new stuff, static for old stuff). So 46mm should pretty much ensure 6mm clearance between rolling stock IF your rolling stock is compliant. https://morop.org/images...NEM_E/nem301_en_2018.pdf

There, it works perfectly with one train at a time. |

The most forgotten track piece is 24001. End your stub track short. |

Roundhouse pretzel When the bridge is in the right position you can use it as a loop for turning the direction of a train. |

Think that would only work in one direction - running anti-clockwise to clockwise. Because if you were running a train clockwise, to reverse the direction of it, you would use the diagonal (top left-bottom right) to reverse the direction. And then, after that, if you used the turntable as suggested, you'd be back to running clockwise again.

Works well on my PC using the Firefox web browser. Have you tried cutting and pasting the link into a new tab of your Internet browser? P.S.: Anyway nothing dramatically new, because by analogy everything that has already been discussed about slim 2471x turnouts applies to the slim 24720 double crossover. Same for me. I get the message, "Dieser Link war nur eine begrenzte Zeit gültig. Erneut laden" Clicking on Erneut laden gives the bad gateway message. |

I use Firefox on my PC and it doesn't work - same reason as previously stated.

I tried to be helpful by researching to find an answer to Leo's query. Not that I expect gratitude, but I am frustrated by the “shooting the messenger (= yours truly)” match following my post #369. Until someone posts something substantive here, I won't be contributing anymore. |

Maybe that site is restricted to viewers from Germany? We most definitely appreciate the time it took for you to find the information and post the links. As a new, but possibly temporary, C track user I am interested in this topic as it is full of excellent ideas mostly contributed by yourself. |

Alsterstreek, thanks for the search-tip! , that thread in Stummi are long enough for a few rainy days! Guess it will have to shift focus now to some other track-piece and my vote would be a 3-way R9 switch and a semi-sort of flexible track and 24903 and 24906 and a short straight like around 33-36 mm. My example: Not special at all, a few cut to length and constructed tracks like 24515, 24903, 24906 and with the centerpiece Hosen-Träger with cut 24179, 24640. Shows the southern part of my station entrance. Work in progress for the last 14 years and finally with the slim double crossout 24720 that saves space and one slim curved turnout and three straight slim turnouts, so that's a pretty neat investment. |

Then I fear you have to search through below extensive German forum thread (pages102 ff): https://www.stummiforum....leis-Revolution-101.html hi The "problem" is stummiforum, it seems that they have implemented a script that makes it impossible to make permanent links directly to images posted on their forum. The solution is to link to the post instead of the images (or save a copy to your hard drive and upload the here....) eg: https://www.stummiforum.de/t96352f2-C-Gleis-Revolution-105.html#msg2751205Your posts are much appreciated, and I hope you don't stop
