Brenda Hensleigh from Marklin USA has sent out some additional information today
"Dear Digital Club Member:
A few days ago we sent you the Digital Newsletter Vol 28 No 3. In the newsletter Rick and Curtis reported that the latest update for the CS2 is available. Today we received more information about the update from the factory, and we also received technical information about the new #49954 Märklin Crane. We wanted to share this information with you now, rather than wait for the next issue of the newsletter.
New update for CS2
The following changes will then be active: 1. A control panel for the new Goliath crane 49954 is built into the mfx+® Märklin World of Operation. Of the 3 motors for the various movements of the crane, only one may be active at a time. This has been taken into consideration reflected in the control panel for this item. Diesel fuel has been set as operating materials consumption for this model. 2. From now on when mfx+® locomotives are being registered the query will be made whether the consumption of operating materials should be activated (mode of operation Semi-Pro). If the green check mark is chosen this mode will be active. If the red "X" is selected, then the standard mode will be set. This will mean that no consumption of any operating materials is activated. 3. It is now possible again to load locomotive icons by means of the web interface. 4. When restarting the system, the status of the feedback modules (Item Numbers 60881 – 60883) will be registered first so that automatic operation can be started immediately. 5. The mfx registration process has been improved. Disruptive, short-term mfx indications in the display have been eliminated. 6. Multiple installations of new data in the current decoders are now possible with no problem.
Setting up the world of operation mode: #49954 Crane Car Type 100 Since the last update (version 4.1.2) for the Central Station 2, which has been available since the end of May, the crane car type 100 (Item No. 49954) can now also be used on a corresponding operation menu in the Märklin world of operation mode. There will be simulated for example the fuel demand of the original. Which operating window is used from a mfx+ product, is choosen when the model is logging in. The Central Station provides the mfx+ model before all simulation images, which are currently at its disposal. The model selects the picture of the best fitting. Users who have installed the crane car before the last update should perform therefore a reset or remove it out of the locomotive list and stimulate so a new registration. When you delete the model, it should definitely be on the layout. When the model is logging in again, it will find for the new operation picture and use it in the future."

The Märklin Digital Newsletter July - August 2017 was emailed today. Announced in the email from Brenda.... "New Digital Book in English #3092 One of the new items announced at Toy Fair was an English version of the Digital book: “Controlling Digitally with the Central Station 3.” This was great news, because we get a lot of requests for a Digital handbook in English text. Here is a description of the book: This book is an extensive description of the Märklin Digital system. It contains all of the essential information about the Central Station 3. Another focal point is the description of the new generation of decoders. The necessary components are presented systematically. 191 pages in the DIN A4 format. Version with English text. (This book is also available in German text #3082 “Digital Fahren mit der Central Station 3.”) The #3092 “Controlling Digitally with the Central Station 3” book in English, will be published and delivered in September. If you haven’t ordered your copy, please contact your Märklin retailer to place your order." Newsletter attached, as well as the editions published since I last posted..... Hello all, I just noticed this old thread... I think I am a little behind the times, but it is too soon to tell! Anyway, the current editors of the Marklin Digital Newsletter (Rick Sinclair and Curtis Jeung) have a Google+ account. There is additional material of projects that are not in the newsletter. It is more of a personal "look at this" type thing similar to this forum. The name is "Marklin Dudes" Here is a link https://plus.google.com/101163204729985203728It is worth checking out.

Helle everyone Yesterday evening I got this document into my e-mail: Marklin Digital Newsletter Jan-Feb_Vol 30 No 1 2018.pdf (2,223kb) downloaded 293 time(s).Curtis Jeung has written a very meritorious article about how to program Sensor based events. So far this article is the best in this category. It is marvelous Now I have to say: Happy Training Regards Jukka

I merged it into this thread. Because of that, the original topic Jukka opened will no longer exist.

Looking through the copies I have downloaded from here I am missing 2020 issues 5 and 6.
Were these issued (I'm thinking they may have been issued as it was the height of the pandemic), and if so, could someone post a copy please.
TIA

The lady who registered me was nice enough to send me all of the 2020 year so here are the one you missed (I renamed them because Märklin has a very long title to them not easy to find or classify) 2020Nov-Dec.pdf (581kb) downloaded 84 time(s). 2020Sep-Oct.pdf (702kb) downloaded 91 time(s).
