The closest was the R800 as it is the only one with four wheels which is what this engine has. The biggest differences are in the color- mine is all black with a very small touch of green. IT is stamped witthe Marklin logo and what looks like the word "wurttenberg" on the bottom if that helps. I will have to dig up a digital cam to send a pic. I can't find any numbers on it anywhere...

That is all we know for now, but it is definitely Marklin! Is it a steam locomotive and does it have a tender?? Also, look under the cab windows for a number (it could be worn away though). On the side of the cab, under the window is a small tag that is attached on both sides that has the Markling logo and the words "continuous and alternating current" if thats a clue. No numbers visible.

Joined: 16/02/2004(UTC) Posts: 15,274 Location: DE-NW		Hello, Mike! Have you checked the gauge? Your loco should be in Koll's catalogue if it's gauge 00 (16.5 mm), but it may also be gauge 0, 1, 2 or even 3.
