Digital - MS2 stuck in STOP

Joined: 15/02/2019(UTC) Posts: 5 Location: Hamilton		I did a 2.5 update on my CS3 plus this morning which is working well. I then plugged my MS2 into the CS3 to do an update. Update showed as read on the scroll bar but MS now shows a continual STOP while still plugged into CS3. I then did a factory reset on the MS2 with the intention to start reloading the MS2 from the start and reload all engines from the update on the MS2. MS2 is Still stuck in STOP and now wont change to English. What do I need to do to clear the STOP and get the MS2 to read English. I terms of the change of language, I went to Spranche, highlighted English but Keine Lok at the top and STOP are the only items that show. Any guidance would be appreciated.

As you know, the normal behaviour of an MS2 connected to a CS3+ is to be a slave to the CS3 and its stop button reflects the status of the CS3 stop button If it does not, one possibility is that one of the pins on the MS2 connector is bent or broken. In this case you need to straigten it or replace the MS2 cable Its article number is E146781 and its cost is 20€ or so. Question: does your MS2 works when connected to a Gleisbox 60116? Cheers Jean

Joined: 05/09/2014(UTC) Posts: 750 Location: NEW HAMPSHIRE, Somersworth		The male connectors on Marklin cables are a pain and you need to be very careful connecting them. The female plug is invariably in an awkward location. I try to get aa much light on the female plug so I can align the male plug properly and then am very gentle until I feel a proper connection. It is ver easy to bend pins and they are a bit unforgiving. Removing the cables can also be an issue. Marklin should have spent a bit more on the plugs.
