I have a digital "Kranwagen", a crane (Märklin #46715), acquired around the turn of the millenium. It has almost never been used due to "messy" functionality; You select function F1 for "twisting", F2 for "jib" and F3 for "hook", and then control the direction for the respective function by using the speedometer of the built-in engine decoder. Pretty tough at least for me to remember which direction is up and down, clockwise and counterclockwise etc. The TrainController PC software has some excellent features using "variables" to access engine decoder functions and to create a more intuitive interface to the "Kranwagen". From that, it is also easy to automise actions which you can see in the clip. I also add a snapshot of how to use variables in operation, in the example the action is to "twist the crane clockwise".

Hi Pe,

Well done. I'm not using TCG10.0B2 so I had to use flagman and macros which also works well.

Have fun.

Can you do that without first assigning the kranwagen to a block?

Hi Pe,

I create dummy blocks that are not physical as all items require a block to run in schedules.
