I purchased a new transformer 60055 for my central station 60212 and the central station doesn't work. It lights up , but I can't do anything except seeing the opening screen. What is the problem?

CS 60212 are worn out so you need a new CS with a new power source too. |

Dirt (like bread crumbs, cookie crumbs) under the edge of the display can prevent the touch screen from working correctly.
Not sure of you're saying it hangs during boot process. |

Hi James Another trouble cause on 60212: people forget about batteries inside. So here is my question: is the battery compartment clean? Are the batteries fresh, removed or completely dead? A dead battery may cause issues during the booting up. The unit can work without batteries but CAREFUL with power up and power down sequencew. Cheers Jean

A description of the central station chronology is for me like comparing with the Windows evolution. 60212= Windows 7. CS 2= Windows 8, and CS 3 and plus= Windows 10.

CS1 started with triangular speed indicators (round speedometers came later). CS2 started with round speedometers. CS3 came with rectangular speedometers. CV programming and function mapping are completely different with each device. Windows had an evolution. Central Station looks like three different teams had the freedom to do their thing without paying attention to previous generations. CS1 => Windows 2000. CS2 => Windows XP. CS3 => Windows Vista. |
