By the time some of the models appear it will be 2024. Must check by I am sure I have something on order on order which was due 2022 nut now June 2023. At my age I buy now what is available and have stopped reservations. I would like to see more coaches being available even a dining car or baggage car and preferably without lighting which I can install myself.
Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.

You’re lucky. I’ve just received a z-scale SBB Vectron which was announced as a new item in 2020!

The guy selling the green ones is away, probably that's why it doesn't show. I had it bookmarked in My Ebay.

He wants to use the Global Swinding Program to ship it here which rules buying it out.

I rarely buy anything new these days, but I always look forward to the “grand unveiling” just the same… kind of like waiting for the annual Sears or JC Penney Christmas catalogs of my youth with all the cool toys. (I wonder: will You Tube be running very slowly at 1300 — 4AM here — Tuesday? 🤣)

So true
, after having a large enough collection for my taste, i making trackplans so as to enjoy the hobby with my son, he will have more trains to play than i used to have, when i was a kid.
This time of the year always invigorates my MRR interest.

I'm looking for the owner of that horse. He's tall, blonde, he smokes a cigar, and he's a pig!

What is Mother M going to announce that I really have to have regardless of whether I've got the money for it or not.....?

Hi All,
Makes it sense to believe a new delivery of the French TGV Duplex as a 2023 novelty?

It took a while to open for me. Then click on the three dots up to the right, and there is a menu item to download it. I'm using Chrome.

Haha.......
I'd been wanting a 37202 Voshloh G2000 Diesel in SBB Cargo colours for some time. I missed out when they were first issued. They hardly ever seemed to come up on eBay, except one showed up a few weeks ago. I managed to win the auction for it and the loco should arrive today. I open the 2023 New Items and what do I see.....

Oh wow, I could go for a Messe Loco (Br232 in Red/Creme).
The ET85 is nice ...
Might have to think about the Leonard Weiss Robel ...
I like the Kof set with boxcars and worker figures.
So what is the difference between the 29244 start set they are announcing, and the 29243 set announced & delivered in 2022?
And the
long awaited WLAN interface is announced
- it also does IR, and connects to either a cs2/cs3 or -happily - an ms2 trackbox. Seeing it does IR I assume it can be used with the IR controllers that come in start sets, so people can still use those when they 'upscale' their system. The WLAN ms2 can be used with a normal router instead when using a cs2/3 but has to be used with the WLAN box when using a track box, from what I can make out using google translate. Up to 4 WLAN controllers can be used with the trackbox receiver, and they each use 4 AAA batteries. No indication of how long the batteries last.
I do like the set of three SBB boxcars, and will consider the two SBB Eaos gondolas with coal load - but they need weathering I think.
I like the Edelweiss Pullman Express to go with a newly announced EST Serie 13 (what we think of as a 241-A).
I find the
club wagon
a bit underwhelming, a Zuchner-Dose boxcar. OK, it's not one they have done previously (that I can recall, they have done tankers).
USA Modellers rejoice
- ES44AC in Union Pacific colours and two road numbers, along with a string of coal hoppers.
Z scalers
get their own Marklineum Br44 - i'm surprised this didn't come out previously.
A Z scale VW Bulli track maintenance wagon, which I assume is motorised at Euro 159.00
For G1 I think all the Br151 locos are what were announced last year. But there is an S2/6 in bright blue.
Looks like there is now a 100VA power supply for cs2/cs3/boosters in black, it seems to have a different form factor to the 60101 and has a 'figure 8' power cord like the lower power units.
Hmm, some other items I'll need to think about too ...

Yes it is also expensive to produce CS3.
Rocos black digital system name Z21 are much more cheaper to produce and customer use Mobil phones or external devices such as Ipad Air or Pro which do have faster processor.
Märklin did also verified that they have problem by produce electronic devices and it´s has become more expensive too by produce digital components.
This is just a guess fro me but nothing is impossible that it might happens if Märklin decides to reduce production costs.

I didn't pick up on the smoke, and my German isn't good enough to quickly decipher how many wagons are in the coal hopper set.

Looks like 12 in the set. Priced north of 500 euros is a bit steep but its a first for Marklin.
Very surprised that they jumped into current era american models

Twelve wagons in the hopper set. The UP diesel really looks sensational.

I think I'd rather spend the 490€ on the 2nd UP Diesel rather than 540€ on the hopper car set (You would need at least 2 sets to make up a decent length US type train). I already have 24 of the low sided UP Coal Hopper wagons and 18 UP Box Cars, so plenty of scope there to make up a train or two.

The pricing on items is starting to get quite steep - nearly 400€ for a wireless remote control - that's nearly $700 NZD. Given I can get a Z21 for not much more.

The Am840 (G2000) are not used in Switzerland other than at Chiasso. They are operated by SBB Cargo Italia on routes in Italy
I give Maerklin kudos for being the first company to bring out a model of the SBB EWIV in the new livery. Roco slept on this big time, having announced but not yet delivered the EC coaches in the same livery last year.

No era I, no (german or affordable) era II. Disappointing. This will be the next year without any purchases.

Cmon, bite the bullet and buy both and have a double headed train. Imagine that with dynamic smoke on both locos.

You are leading me wrong. My heart say yes but logic say no.
I will go for the 42470 Edelweiss set too,i think is the best of the catalog,so i have to make a good plan.

Hmm, some other items I'll need to think about too ...
I think the ET85/ES85 electro multiple unit is a stand-out.
It has all metal body (robust) and is first time product for Märklin.
Also available as a 2 rail Trix model.
Roco did one years ago.
Another Märklin electro multiple unit was the ET87 but this had a plastic body.
It is nice to see the more modern CIWL cars released by Märklin.
The Edelweiss Pullman Express is a train I really knew nothing about (Amsterdam-Zurich via Strasbourg).
Kimball
HO Scale - Märklin (ep II-III and VI, C Track, digital) - 2 rail HO (Queensland Australia, UK, USA) - 3 rail OO (English Hornby Dublo) - old clockwork O gauge - Live Steam 90mm (3.1/2 inch) gauge.
