Found the review of Trix 25441 but in German.

.....
Very beautiful locomotive and really interesting sound profile.
I do however have questions about the "smoke" which is supposed to be diesel exhaust; it seems to be just as much as you see on an active steam locomotive. I wonder if there might be a way of making the smoke stream more subtle, as in a smaller bit of exhaust.
DB DR FS NS SNCF c. 1950-65, fan of station architecture esp. from 1920-70.
In single point perspective, where do track lines meet?

I put a hand on those.
From any point of view are excellent!!!!
Metal construction, dynamic smoke, excellent sounds. Marvelous.
The price is correct for these beautiful locos.
I am waiting for the Märklin version to get mine.
May be is a good start for collection.
Already Kansas announced. Is very nice, I had see a preproduction model is Toy fair in Nurnberg in January.
Is very nice model too

Those locomotives are a bit tempting, but I'm still on the fence about it. Perhaps if it gets good reviews and i can find some at a good discount :)
I did have a look at the Marklin exploded drawings and compared them to the exploded drawing from Broadway Limited Imports, and there are some similarities but also some differences.
Eg. Marklin has one cube speaker inside the locomotive and Broadway Limited has two round speakers at the bottom.
And Marklin has 4 powered axels and Broadway Limited has 6 powered axels, but looking at the drawing I can't see any traction tires on the drawing from Broadway Limited Import

I believe the Marklin ones are out as well. Marklin had a pair running on their long term test track pulling a veeeery long rake of the hopper wagons.

the decoder project does indeed seem to be quite good, and listening to the decoder project(Trix 25440) on pc with mdecodertool it seems like Marklin has included some deeper tones, compared to what they have done previously on other recent projects. So that's welcome.
As for the smoke, I don't think is possible to reduce the amount of smoke, so perhaps turn it off while running...? or simply take it as a prototypical simulation of bad injectors or something like that....
e.g. like in this video:(not the prototype but just an example)
The prototype has a very powerful sound, e.g. like this ES44AC, from Canadian Pacific:

We get CP locos like this running only a couple of klicks from our house and we hear some of these sounds when sitting on our upper balcony at night. My wife looks over at me and smiles because she knows I love it.
And "Whoa" with the smoke! I have never seen that much smoke from such a unit.
Triple header looks very impressive.
As for the model, I may go to the Big E show in Springfield Mass this year, so I will be looking out for any large diesel-electrics with "major smoke" and see what they do with it. Curious if there will be continued improvements on smoke realism in general so my wife can stop laughing at me when I run our steamloks with the tiny puffs.
I do find that models with smoke from the pistons can look quite nice.
As for me, I have mostly only continental European epIII stuff.

That was indeed a pleasant surprise, I did not expect that since Roco has made several versions of it.
It is a bit expensive, but I do see that
modellbahn-kramm
has a 92,51 € preorder discount on it.......
