Well, I haven't found any official announcement about the Museum Wagons yet. Normally there is a video. It seems the Instagram post is as much as one gets.
The only information I can find is
the Minitrix one.
which is clearly the same livery.
Ah, Marklins search doesn't pick it up as a 'Museum' or 'Museum 2023' but the product finder does pick up the catalogue number
48123
,
80034
,
58010
- only the H0 one comes with any extras, in the form of an Opel Rekord lettered for Motorsagen, and the G1 is an old style boxcar with bremserhaus.
There doesn't seem to be a separate wagon for Trix H0, so I suspect they are going to supply the Marklin one and change the wheelsets for those who want a Trix one. The tin case for the H0 one doesn't appear to have either Marklin or Trix branding on it.
The Museum Wagons do seem to have become just another annual product, the Marklineum pages make absolutely no reference to them, even though that is supposed to be the only place to buy them. They don't appear to care about pushing an 'exclusive' item.

There is an announcement on Facebook of a new G1 item for 2023 in 6 variants - the VT88.9 Diesel loco "Pig's Snout".

That looks like a nice plaything for the G1ers among us. Six variants, I think that is more than they have done in H0 ...

It is possible that Märklin will present a new cheaper digital system due to replace the expensive CS3.
Märklin do have problem with the customer who do make mistakes like to destroy the screen of the CS3 and it´s expensive to repair.
Yes it is also expensive to produce CS3.
Rocos black digital system name Z21 are much more cheaper to produce and customer use Mobil phones or external devices such as Ipad Air or Pro which do have faster processor.
Märklin did also verified that they have problem by produce electronic devices and it´s has become more expensive too by produce digital components.
This is just a guess fro me but nothing is impossible that it might happens if Märklin decides to reduce production costs.

There is little difference among model RR digital and DCC processsors. The software is different. Marklin uses Linux which is lower cost open platform. Cost to produce is similar. Roco Z21 and Z21 Profi have no screen. You must use a wyfi web interface and Laptop p.c, tablet or phone for a screen. Perhaps Markin will elimiate the screen? I don't know. Laptops, phones and tablets are exspensive too. More than a CS3 or an ESU Ecos which can be stand alone.
I don't have a wyfi connection in my hobby raum. The P.C. is too far away for one, so that negates me using Rocrail, etc. I don't care. I still run DC analog Roco and Fleischman trains
on one side of my layout which is separate from the 3 rail tracks. They share a station, and tunnel. A fly-over 3 rail bridge crosses onto a long bridge valey to the other section.
It's versatile, and saved money converting some models to digital and 3 rail.

Maybe not so minimal. It has four cylinders where BR 01 only has two. It has small running wheels where Märklin so far only made BR 01 with large running wheels.
They only lasted until 1942, so it only targets era II.
Will there be enough sales to compensate the modification they have to make?

Well, for those who have bought the Albatros 'Surprise Loco', you may wish to look at the Czech manufacturer Igra Models
New Items for 2023
to find suitable coaches.

Oh, I was thinking it was an Italian loco, they use class E4xx locos, but I don't recall ever seeing them use that loco.

I asked Dieter Lorenz about Marklin doing that 20 years ago, and he said no, the amount of K track made compared to C track wouldn't justify it. Would be nice though.

It seems Märklin will present a new digital system.
Some of the new Trix loco do have Railcom and it seems customer wants this function in the CS3.
If so i believe Märklin will also add Railcom+ to register digital loco automatic if not less to use M4 (mfx).
Uhlenbrock did arrived out new Intellibox 2 with mfx protocol too.
I have not check after if there is Railcom+ too...

A bigger problem would be do they have appropriate hardware to detect the Railcom signal sent back. If it is similar enough to mfx in frequency then it may be sufficient to do a software update.

Thanks for bringing this up Goofy, I saw a Marklin loco advertised with Railcom but cannot remember where. As you point out some Trix locos including the new Vectron get Railcom.
For the CS2 and CS3, whether those devices can be upgraded to use Railcom will depend on the hardware capabilities of the controller. Remember we had this issue with the CS1 Reloaded where an updated CS1 was identical to an Ecos in every way except for Railcom because the CS1 did not contain the necessary hardware to support Railcom.

The new IBII with mfx is the Intellibox II Neo. I haven't seen any reference on the Uhlenbrock website about Railcom and the IBII
https://uhlenbrock.de/de....apd/IB2neo-Prospekt.pdf
mfx can be added to the existing Intellibox II by purchasing a MFU module
https://uhlenbrock-shop.de/65110
Maybe Railcom can be added to the IB II in a similar way in the future, using a yet to be developed specific module.

I haven't seen a Marklin loco advertised as having Railcom from Marklin, only the two Trix locos in the Herbst NI 2022. The Marklin equivalent locos were stubbornly advertised with mfx.
Maybe someone was advertising a Marklin loco to which they had fitted an ESU decoder, which certainly does have Railcom capability.

I get a bit confused because they do describe new Locos. as being equipes with mfx, dcc, and mm protocol decoders. Trix are dcc, but are they in effect just the two rail pickup version with the identical decoders as the Marklin?
New Piko A/C models for 2023 are described as alo MFX.

Yes, the protocol has nothing to do with it being 2 rail or 3 rail.
Remember this bit ...
Marklin has 2 rail AC (early gauge 1) and 3 rail AC (H0).
Marklin has 2 rail DC (Z scale) & LGB.
Marklin has 2 rail digital (G1 as MM & mfx & DCC) and 3 rail digital (H0 as MM & mfx & DCC).
Trix has 2 rail digital (H0 as mfx & DCC & Selectrix (&MM if desired)) as well N gauge (primarily DCC, possibly also mfx & selectrix).

Well, Eurotrain have announced some items for 2023 ...
The
White Lady
has been posted for a couple of weeks now, available in both Marklin and Trix editions. It was also interesting to see that Roco have it in their 2023 NI - is it an anniversary for that livery or something?
Another
Diesel Loco from Railsystems RP GmbH
with a fanciful paint scheme.
A
VTG sliding wall tarp car
in a sapphire blue paint scheme.
Continuation of their Museum Train series, this time a
Gepackwagon with two sliding doors each side
.
A
double container wagon
, with a standard 40' container and a high cube 40' container.
And finally another
heavy oil tanker lettered for BP
, but different layout to the previous one they did.

Please note that we are talking about two different locos:
Roco releases 243 001 as it was in era IV. The Märklin model is 243 822 as it looks today, replicating 243 001 from era IV.

Hornby International
New items for 2023
Once you get past the Arnold N stuff, you get to the Arnold TT and then the Hornby TT - at least the TT track. Then on to the other manufacturers.
With 300+ pages, this is the index ...
ARNOLD . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 6
ARNOLD TT. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 104
HORNBY TT . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 118
JOUEF . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 120
JOUEF LOISIRS . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 162
MKD . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 168
ELECTROTREN . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 170
ELECTROTREN HOBBY. . . . . . 198
RIVAROSSI . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 202
LIMA EXPERT. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 286
HEICO MODELL . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 298
ACCESSORIES . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 300
From page 301 onwards it seems to be all Hornby UK accessories, with the text in English. Elsewhere throughout the listings the text for the listings is in five languages, although some of the information boxes are single language.
They do have some nice looking items, but many of the items are shown as either prototype photos or CAD drawings, so one does wonder how far along much of the development is.
Most H0 items seem to have AC wheel sets listed (the wheel sets are also listed in the accessories at the end).
I hadn't realised that Hornby International was associated with MKD (nice range of small French based buildings) or Heico Modell.
Also Hornby UK have released their
2023 NI list as a web listing.
Not much, apart from the bunch of A4s to commemorate 10 years since the "Great Gathering" of all surviving A4s at York Railway Museum (grief, is it really 10 years since that happened?
) Would be a bit expensive to collect them all - six locos at £321 apiece. Maybe one should stick with the totally irrelevant series of beatles wagons, each wagon commemorating a song, or with the A4 Mallard in Era III at two thirds the price of the commemorative ones.

The Eurotrain model is inspired by the new era VI model, I guess.

Usually there is the odd leak or early announcement of a couple of items but that seems to have been stopped

From what I have seen the email with information doesn't go out to dealers until the day before release date these days, so apart from the Netherlands where Marklin.nl do appear to release information on NL based items a bit earlier (judging by some of the 'leaks' we have had in the past) I think things have been tightened down a lot in recent years.

The Hornby battery Magna lights are nice, but no one here in the US sells them. Thr Rapido Easy peasy ones have been out of stock over a year now.

Our monthly club meetings are on the third Tuesday of each month. And usually I download the Märklin PDF on that day or even earlier.
January 17 sounds very plausible to me.

I agree with Tom (H0), why not? Meeting on Monday to confirm that the PDFs are all sorted properly with all errors fixed, and then email links to retailers, with embargo for following day.
Tuesday retailers start taking orders and sending them to Marklin - after all, the order that orders come in to the factory seems to sort out the delivery priority.
If left to Friday then everyone is wanting to go home for the weekend.
It may also be that Marklin has become aware of another company producing an item that they will be announcing later that week, and so want to get out there first.

If mailed from Germany Friday, Tuesday makes sense because most shops here are/were closed Mondays.

I can't keep up with all the announcements and new models. I assume this will all be in the "new items" brochure and the 2023 catalogue, is that right?

In single point perspective, where do track lines meet?

I managed to get hold of one of the dark grey ones (47914) but haven't got the green one (47913). There's a guy from the UK selling them on ebay but at 65 quid each, it's a tad expensive.

Our Clubnight is on the last Friday of the month and for January I usually give a presentation to members of the New Items followed by a BBQ (its Summer here.......or its meant to be Summer......), so the 17th is more than fine for me.

Hi all,
My guess for the new items is a SNCF 241A in the green livery of Epoch IIIb (1930), as in the 55085.

Oh, I hadn't picked upon the grey one, missed out on that, but have the green one.
Can't see anyone of ebay selling either of them. Must have all been sold.
