Can anyone point me to a handy list of C Track Geometry. I have searched Google and can only find bits and pieces of information.Sad

Thanks in advance.

Do you have the catalogue (not the new items brochure)?
What do you expect?

Hi H0, BigGrin

None of my catalogues show C Track, they are all older ones showing M track. I have a ton of C track that I may put up for sale and need to match the cat numbers with the geometry so that I can describe them accurately. I cannot use C track on my show layout.

C track has engraved ref. numbers under the track. Prefix three-digit numbers with 24 (e.g. 188 is 24188).

Just make piles by shape and check the ref. number at the bottom. Some pieces are very similar (e.g. curves 24206 and 24207 or 24130 and 24224, straight track 24229 und 24236).

Buyers may ask for production year. There is a "clock" under the track with the year in the middle and an arrow pointing at the month.
"Made in Germany" is a bad sign for C track and buyers often want to know about this.

Tom

Thanks Tom, I have compiled a list of all the items. I have a couple of anomalies which I will resolve, they are most likely due to eyesight, mine...the numbers are rather tiny for my eyes. I wanted to determine the geometry of each type before I put them up for sale. However I am somewhat inclined to believe that C track users already know the geometry. RollEyes

Hi Rich,

Here is a list. Some smaller items are enclosed in one of the small boxes that was not full when packed. I have sorted and counted the track several times but may have missed a few items when sorting them. I was going to sell them piecemeal, a few pieces at a time but have decided to sell them all as one lot.

Cat Qty Description

7072 2 Switching Console, Blue
24064 5 Track, Straight, Length 64.3 mm / 2-9/16"
24071 5 Track, Straight, 70.8 mm / 2-13/16" Sides can be removed
24077 12 Track, Straight, 77.5 mm / 3-3/64"
24094 8 Track, Straight, 77.5 mm / 3-3/64"
24115 4 Track, Curved, R1 360 mm, 15 °
24130 27 Track, Curved, R1 360 mm, 30 °
24172 34 Track, Straight, 171.7 mm / 6 3/4"
24188 14 Track, Straight, 188.3mm / 7-3/8"
24215 4 Track, Curved, R2 437.5 mm 15 °
24224 7 Track, Curved, R2 437.5 mm / 24.3 ° (turnout arc).
24229 5 Track, Straight, 229.3 mm / 9"
24230 21 Track, Curved, R2 437.5 mm / 17-1/4", 30 °
24236 6 Track, Straight, 236.1mm / 9-5/16"
24611 6 Track, Left Hand Standard Turnout, Remote
24612 2 Track, Right Hand Standard Turnout, Remote
24624 1 Track, Double Slip, 24.3 °, Remote
24630 2 Three Way Turnout, 188.3 mm / 7-13/32", 2 x 24.3 °, Manual
24671 2 Curved Left Hand Turnout, R1 360 mm / 14-3/16", Outer Curve 30 °, Remote
24671 1 Curved Left Hand Turnout, R1 360 mm / 14-3/16", Outer Curve 30 °, Manual
24672 2 Curved Right Hand Turnout, R1 360 mm / 14-3/16", Outer Curve 30 °, Remote
24672 1 Curved Right Hand Turnout, R1 360 mm / 14-3/16", Outer Curve 30 °, Manual
24712 2 Right hand Turnout Wide Radius, Length 236.1 mm. Branch track radius 1,114.6 mm. Turnout curve 12.1°. 10°, metal frog, Manual
24977 8 Track End with Bumper/Buffer, 77.5 mm + 5 mm / 3 - 11/16 + 3/16"
24997 2 Track, Remote Uncoupling, Electric
72710 2 Switching Console, White
72720 1 Switching Console, White

They are listed as used and all are in good condition, except for a few where the plastic base is missing a piece. Even these are usable as is. Some loose pieces of the plastic bases are included in one of the small boxes with the other smaller items. Some of the items look like they have never been used and are in their original boxes. There is no paint or ballast on them that I can find. I will enclose any applicable instruction booklets if I have them. None of the electrical components including turnouts and uncouplers have been tested. All the items came off a working layout.

I have it on ePay right now, and have dropped the price once already and had an offer which was low. Looking at the offerer's profile and sales he wanted it to resell piecemeal. Don't let the price frighten you. The listing says if it sells at the asking price, I will ship for free, else at cost.

In the listing picture it is stacked in groups by cat number etc. Boxed items are also stacked the same way. The track is upside down.

The ePay item number is 282264110984. If you are interested message me using the Marklin-Users.net forum.
