I just picked up 37360 and everything works fine. Sounds nice and feels solid. My question pertains to loading into the CS2 (version 1.4). Everything loaded automatically except the picture. Not sure if that is suppose to occur. I went to select a picture and the choice for Ae 6/6 does not have the Cargo label nor is blue. My CS is a year or so old and possibly this model is not in the library. Is there a way for me to load from Marklin's website. I previously updated to 1.4 by connecting a cable to my router but I believe that update occurred automatically. Or do I have to select Update program from from the set up screen?

Thanks,

Harvey

I don't think they load all possible paint schemes of a lok.

Lutz forwarded me the following link http://cs2.stummiforum.de/. It has the png file for my Ae 6/6. This site also has a picture for my 3412! But not my 3058. There may be other sites but this one is really good.

Below is instructions I found on our site to load files into the CS.

"Here is a png file for the Swedish steam lok 37134. What I have done for the CS png files is to find an image of the lok on the net, then import it into a photo-manager program (I use Adobe PhotoShop) where you can re-size the jpg (or whatever)file to the 140 x 50 (+/-) size and as .png format.

Then save them to a flash drive (be sure to save them in a directory called "icons") and then download them into the CS."

I read somewhere else that icons should be spelled with lower case i.

I have not yet tried to load the png as the next three days (including tonight) is support for my wife's hobby - High School FIRST Robotics competition in NY. Going off topic, do google this (FIRST Robotics). I believe this is a world wide program at all grade levels. I will be watching robots for three days and cheering the team.

Took me a week to get back to loading png files. Once I transferred from lap top to jump drive, took all of a few minutes. So the link Lutz forwarded and the use of icon (lower case) works fine. I assume there are other sites that provide pictures. I wonder if our users group can create a storage site for links? Maybe there would be copy right issues?

The reason for my one week delay is my wife and I had to recover from last weeks FIRST Robotics competition in NY. Her school won two awards and so they go to St.Louis for the nationwide finals. So she spent the week planning travel for 40 people and I took care of the house (and some signal installations).

Regards,

Harvey

Harvey,

I can or could supply some pictures of locos, already cropped to size.

Hi Harvey,

Another source for png files may be found on this site:

http://www.stayathome.ch/Lokbilder.htm#Schweiz (Sorry in German only)

Building our own library on this site seems like an excellent idea to me. Don't know however about the copyrights involved and last but not least neither am I sure about the amount of effort it would take to program it all.
Kind regards,
Guus

Thanks for responding. The one picture I am still looking for is my Marklin DB 151 - 3058. This is a fairly old loc and so may not be on any site. If you do have a link to, would appreciate your forwarding.

Regards,

Harvey

Any beige/blue BR 151 should do for that purpose. So you can also check #3361 and #33432 (the later is era V, but at that size it should not matter).

Tom
