Martijn, before you jump the gun, you must ask your local zoo to see how much it costs to feed one on a daily basis. The "fuel" [}:)][}:)] cost to keep such a "model" gator will not be trivial. As an alternative, if all you care is the size, try one of those inflatable plastic beach model. |

John, just FYI, the 39560 is now with a green traffic light in the online database. It looks like the remaining big C-sine croc and gator are not being killed off yet. Alas, I've just ordered mine a week ago from a dealer that still have it in stock. Guess I didn't really have to hurry after all. In any case, it now completes my 3956x pair. Hopefully the 39223 will be in stock soon. I've been waiting for mine for over a month now. |

Sad view for any gator enthusiast! Years ago, from 1986 - 95 I passed the "Röherenwerke Bous" every morning, a steel factory that belonged to the ARCOR group at that time. They produced high quality steel for steel valves and coils. I saw many locos there - most porminent ones were a number of E 94 marked with a big "Z", but also many E 40 and E 41, waiting for the steel furnace [:(]. At least, there is hope that they made some new locos from this steel, e.g. a BR 101 or ICE . However, most probably some of the old gators ended as the gas and oil pipelines in the cold russian tundra.[xx(] Hans Martin
