Just received from the mail:

Maerklin 4048 tinplate NS postal sorting coach, used in regular Dutch intercity service in the mid seventies,a perfect match for the blue Maerklin NS 1200 loco.

Also Primex 4186 tinplate bagage coach in Orient Express style, for the time being parked after a DRG BR03 steamloco.
Note that Primex 4186 usually comes in a rather dull olive green color.
The Orient Express version has same number 4186.
Note the difference in length when comparing with the tinplate bagagecoach out of the 4228 Rheingold set.

Primex #4186 baggage car for the CIWL may not necessarily go with this Rheingold set, but it's a natural at either end of a rake of ISG sleeping cars #4029 or even the older edition tin-plates #346/3J.

The 4029 is not from the same era as the Orient Express bagage coach.
The 4029 is sixties style, the Orient bagage coach is twenties/thirdties style.

I think the coaches intended to go with that baggage coach are the Primex 4191.

Ray,

There are a number of Primex tinplate cars Orient Express style which can still be found for sale on trainfairs etc.
Primex 4191 is one of them.

Cheers,
Paul.
