Hi guys,

I am trying to look at options for NEM pockets to fit a Hag Re 6/6 and Re 4/4. The idea is to run them together as an Re 10/10. When I looked at the pockets available as spare parts, they all have different lengths, however I have to referents as to where the measure from. I need to confirm if the dimension they list is the overall length, or the length from the centre of the mounting screw hole, to the end of the coupler pocket.

If anyone could clarify this, it would be much appreciated.

Cheers…..

Mike

Hi Mike
Here is the content of NEM pocket standard, giving you all the needed information
https://doubleogauge.com/nem-coupling-pockets/
Same standard for any serious train manufacturer
Normally it shouldn't pose you any problem to use any coupler you like (Märklin KK, Roco, etc)

Here is a table showing the various HAG coupling hooks and adaptors that used to be available in the good old days before the current kitbashers took over.

I have the Re 10/10 Set (Ziegelbrücke) in the SBB Cargo livery. I can send you photos of how the two locomotives are attached if you would like.
I installed a slider on both locomotives so that they can also be used individually. For a while, the Hag Re 420 Cargo was the only one that I had in my collection, the others all being Re 421. I now have a similar model from Roco as well.
