I just received my 36426 from Scott at Helmut's Hobbies. I am amazed at the value. It has a speaker for sounds and cost only about $234.
Scott is not the cheapest but he really goes out of his way to help me on repairs and parts. This is important. I do all my own conversions but wrecks are beyond my scope.
At any rate, the value on this item compared to past Marklin items is wonderfull. I have two other Ludmillas and I expect this to run very well.
Unfortunately, I have torn up all my M track and in the process of replacing it with C track. This may be a big mistake, but I am doing it.

As I had a very large layout, I will have much M track available at very good prices. I am not sure yet if I will be selling double slips, 3 way or track end bumpers yet. I have hundreds of 5100, 5106 & 5200 and many (a whole lot) of all the short pieces. Before I put it on ebay or Scott's web site I would offer it to all on the forum. I am a little concerned about international shipping costs and payments but I suppose that can be worked out. I simply would like to get a little for my track and have it go to a real user. By the way, all track is very good - 99% no landscaping. The other 1% you would not notice. All turnouts work and lights work. Large and small turnouts. Curves and regular. I cannot guarantee running conditions on all as some I have just bench tested - many came off my layout.

Hi Eric,

Congratulations on your latest Ludmilla! They are really good aren't they?ThumpUp

I wouldn't worry about changing to C Track. I was a bit apprehensive when I made the change, but the superior running qualities of c track soon made me wonder why I hadn't changed sooner!

6021 replaced with MS2
