Hi All

Today the box arrived with this lovely model (# 39022). The model is in a near mint condition, however, I found this piece of plastic and I can't find where it came from. Any idea?

Thanks

Ben

Underneath, somewhere. Or maybe a firebox moulding/fitting in the cab?

Puzzled as you are,

Cool

Somewhere under the loco, I think under the wheels under the cab Cool

I'm 99% sure the two "half-moons" are brake shoes Cool

Per.

Cool

The 39022 Operation Manual (p. 29) on the M site shows an underside view which has an outline like this part underneath the rear-most wheelset. Like Purellum suggested, it's likely the brake shoes. The image of the lok on the M site shows shoes on the front side of those wheels while the image in Ben's post doesn't seem to have them.

Good luck!

Brian

My guess is that the part comes from the trailing wheel under the cab, which should have a brake shoe on the forward side. The piece should pop in under the trailing wheel as can be seen in this screenshot from Brunellorosso's video.

I have the 39021 loco and look underside of poly truck.

Please note your loco was 39021 blue livery (39022 green livery) Both are same number on cab side.

That is what I thought but couldn't see where it can be attached.

I think that #63 is the wheel assembly, not the plastic. Thanks for the effort.
