I have an older model 3371 ICE train (front and rear engine with 3 coaches. I am currently converting my engines into digital format using decoder c80 (6080) . I had purchase the digital items decades ago but am only now converting. Can one convert the ICE 3371 by using the c80 decoder or does one have to buy their factory digital version 3671? Appreciate any advice. Thanks, PZ

The ICE 3371 has DC motors (Faulhaber)!!!
So you can't convert with c80 it is for AC motors only... c81 was the one
But in these days is a bit useless to convert with so old decoders.
My opinion is as this is a very nice model to convert it with a modern mLD3 or mSD3 decoder with the great running qualities and all other functions. An ESU decoder is OK too.

But you must have in mind that this is a very difficult conversion...Two motors, internal lights, front rear lighgts, two pick-up shoes etc....
