I want to convert the locomotive from starter set 29529 to have LED lights white/red and an ESU loksound decoder. Fitting the sound decoder was easy, I also open small holes where the red lights should be, but I cannot find the plastic defusers and the white/red led pcb that Marklin already is using in a few locos like the loco from starter set 29255 and the 37260 loco. In the manual of these loco's there is the old design and not the newer with the LED's. Does anybody know the part numbers of the newer spare parts I need (both optical defusers and led pcb of loco 37260 or 29255)?

I am not sure that you can simply install the more modern LED lighting from the 37260 in the earlier 29529. You will have to check to see whether the LED panel can be inserted into the chassis of the 29529 or whether Maerklin has changed the design of the chassis and the interior of the shell to accommodate the new design. On the 3460/3760 Re 460, there were modified light channels, cab interior (bottom) and other details changed when Maerklin changed from bulbs to LEDs. What you may be able to do is to buy a 37260, swap shells and then sell the loco with the "En Voyage" livery at a discount. Here is a 37260 on ebay for 179 EUR http://www.ebay.de/itm/M...EU-in-OVP-/231067126348?If you buy that, swap the shells, you can then sell it for 99-129 EUR on ebay to get most of your money back. I switched the chassis and there was a perfect match. So in order to keep all of the locomotives I need to find the optical defusers and the LED PCB. Does anybody knows the spare part codes of the defusers and the led pcb of 29255 or 37260. The manuals does not provide any help.

LED panel: E186453 Beleuchtungseinheit 15,00 € Light Channel: 248320 LICHTKOERPER (Shows as Not Available)
The instructions and exploded view diagram and list do not provide any details about how the LED panel is connected and whether it requires a special decoder or circuit on a PC board that the earlier model with bulbs might not have.
I would recommend looking into finding one of the other models on special and swapping shells and then selling the unwanted one on ebay at a discount. I upgraded a couple of Swiss locos by doing this and swapped out the white LEDs, grey pantographs and mfx against older models with Delta or 6090 and yellow LEDs. I got the new ones for under 200 EUR and sold the older ones for 99 EUR, so it cost me 101 EUR for the two grey pantos, the white LEDs and mfx. The two pantos alone were listed at 60 EUR.
There is no part for a second diffuser for the red lights in the instructions of the two newer locos. I would send an email to service(at)maerklin to get this information.
