Hi gents,
One of the speed knobs on my CS2 has some broken tabs and isn't held in very well, are there replacements available?
There is no spare parts list on marklin webpage for the CS2. |

If you already have a 3D printer and the red filament, sure. For the money, Märklin had produced it for a few pennies or a few €, but then had to stock and maintain the inventory of the part for all these years, so that now you have the option to buy a replacement from them, and support the infrastructure and personnel time to go to the warehouse, pick that spare part, box it up and bill. So by today's cost that is not unreasonable. If cost is critical, I'd look for a broken (use for parts) CS2 on eBay, if you think you may need a bunch of more parts, but not sure how often something like that is listed. |

Cookee After seeing the spare part and looking at the knob last night, it comes in 2 parts. The top part is all plastic and is just a cover, it simply clips onto the bottom half. The damage is only to the top part of the knob which has a couple of broken clips. It still clips down OK its just not as secure as it was. I can post a picture tonight. The CS2 slipped off the bench and landed on the floor. Apart from the knob damage the main stop push button has been wedged in and is difficult to activate, so I have to dis-assemble the housing to see what has happened there too. The rotary knob probably doesn't need to be replaced, at least not at the price being charged. |

Hi Applor Sorry for the incorrect info I sent you I found this on ebay CS2 buttonI know it is not cheap : 19.99€ plus 7.50€ for worldwide shipment. The alternative is to glue / repair the existing button (I repaired one of my CS2 buttons where the plastic spring broke Cheers Jean |
