Great looking train!

I'd love to get the HO version of this one day.

Nice photos, Walter. I'd like to think that I had something to do with Märklin making this set in HO/Z. As a retired LH employee I rode the trains

a few times when LH would send me to Germany for periodic training. I wrote Märklin 2 letters back in the late 80s for them to make this set in HO.

I still have one letter from them telling me that they had many requests for the model. I'm so glad they finally made it and I ordered it right away

and received the 2867 set in Dec. 1991. Peter ThumpUp

Thanks Peter!

I'm also looking for the H0 version. Just to have both versions as a collection. RollEyes

Lucky me that the BR111 (2867) is cheaper than the second version with BR103 (2868)...
But I'll have to bid against Ray... Flapper Laugh

Cheers,

Walter

I just bought the Ho version with the Br 103, The lok dosen't work, but a new ESU decoder, magnet and the wind shields on both sides gluded back in. It will be a nice set again.BigGrin
