Hi Svien and Bill
We haven't had "real" snow here for 4 years.(global warming.)
Back to the Loco I just really liked the look of it.
Thanks for your input.

Hello all

Received first set as a gift on a visit to Germany in 1977 which was a Fleischmann Electric TEE with a set of coaches. Still have it and not in bad shape considering I was a kid at the time. Also have my grandfathers Lionel Berkshire and GG1 from the late 50's.

About 5 years ago my wife suggested I get a hobby - clearly an error on her part. Found a few commections in Europe and now have the following:

HO: Roughly 235 of which 40 are HAG - rest are mostly Marklin with a few other Fleischmann & Roco. No particular era although all are represented - I just buy what I like. Steam, Electric, Diesel about an even split. About 60% digital or delta, and about 30 with sound.
O: approximately 20 - steam diesel and electric represented - Lionel & MTH - vaying levels of sound
N: mixture of U.S & European - approximatly 50 loks of all types
Standard - 1 pre-war

No way near enough rolling stock to support the loks, but most of what I do have are sets and passenger coaches.

So far just collecting, but have just started building a layout.

Hello Bill, I converted a 8310 (Hamo 2-rail) into 3-rail digital operation, by using a Uhlenbrock 76320 decoder.

Conversion was straightforward.

As promised a picture of my brand new BR23.
Is was not easy to fit the brake hoses in the front. The holes were a little bit too small, so I had to sand the hoses until they fit

Congratulations, Oxbill.
I have the 3310 as well, and I have converted it with the 60901 conversion set.
Unfortunately, I have not made a report about it, but I have made a report about the conversion of the Br03 from the 3100 locomotive set, using Märklin mfx conversion set 60921. The Br03 is almost identical to the 3310.

If you like, go to my website, www.saebonet.com, press "digital conversions", on a green wagon to the left, and find 3100 down the list.

I was looking at pics of a real E160 today and I noticed that the short end is actually the front. So if you used US identifying, the wheel arrangement would be a 2-6-0 not an 0-6-2 as I assumed it was. Most interesting to me. Smile
