I bought the 31859 set and my dealer has confirmed I will receive the
31860 set and that I will also get 39564 "black croc". That will be
all my purchases for next year though.[V][V][V]

But I will be able to look at and envy the purchases of my friends on
this wobderful forum.SmileSmileSmile.

Just got an old E94 Hamo. Cleaned it, installed pickup, new bulbs, tires and will install decoder tomorrow. Not sure if wheels are the same as AC versions so will have to see how it runs on M track.

Panayotis, the 2 Br44 are very similar as far as the models are concerned - same motor type, same running gear, number of tyres, etc. The 22043 is a model of an oil fired Br44, whereas the 22044 is a model of a coal fired Br44. The DB would often use an oil fired Br44 in conjunction with a coal fired Br44 to pull the Langer Heinrich (Long Henry) ore trains.

Nice locos and pics guys.
Ray you must get a bigger station than Talheim or extend the platforms. You will have Preisers having to jump and as mine usually have no legs to get them in the coach this could be a problem biggrin

Hello All:
I just picked up this little gem yesterday.

UserPostedImage

I know, I know, it's not a BR 52, or a 44, or even a P8, but I remember falling in love with Marklin through this little Lok many moons ago on my Fathers layout. The tooling is great (considering its a "Hobby" line Lok), and it runs pretty good for a $180.00 item.wink

I have been thinking of doing some weathering projects and this lok will be the perfect starting point. I have two original analogue 24's so I'm not too worried about weathering resultsbiggrin

Compared to most of my purchases, this is small fish, but as I said, it brings back memories.[:p]

Nice set there Ray. It doesn't fit into my eras, but I can see why you would like it.

James, you obviously hold the same affinity for the Br24 that I hold for the V200 (hence the 39803 pictured above).

Thanks for comments. I wasn't sure about posting the BR24 within this august grouping[8)]

But... as I said, since I picked it up a couple of days ago, and have had a chance to run it around the layout, I have fallen in love with this little "Prairie Pony" all over againbiggrin

Thanks, everyone, for your kind comments.

The little T3 is a lovely runner. It's hypnotic, watching the tiny Allen valve gear going back and forth! The coaches are great too, all four are different. I don't, as a rule, add lighting to my coaches, but I'm seriously thinking of making an exception in this case.

Everybody have fun with your new locs.

One more steamer Marklin 36741

Loc is light but it can goes up my hill (almost 5%) with a train of 12 axles.
Loc drives nice but it is not a soft drive sinus engine. You hear the engine.

So I have 95 locs now.
53 steamers
22 elocs
20 dieseltrains

I have still in order the br 39.

Hi Bill.

That Br24 looks very good for Z scale.

Your E40 looks in very good condition. I always look out for a nice 3040 to go with my 3039 Br110 in Blue. They don't appear on the market that often.

Thanks, Ray! That little Br24 runs just as good as it looks too. I'm really impressed with it's operating qualities. The 151 is getting better the more I run it. Yes the E40 was in right good shape. I put new tires on it and a few drops of oil. Runs quite well for 2-rail. Smile

Cheers!
