I have several older locomotives with various Delta decoders running analog with all dip switches off.
In spite of being robust, Delta decoders may stop working some day and I want to have a replacement ready to be installed.
What options do you suggest ?
1.An old Delta decoder (they are offered on eBay) ?
If so, does it matter which model, or it`s irrelevant ? I.e. can any Delta decoder do the job if they are interchangeable ?
2.Uhlenbrock decoder which can be used as reverse unit ? Which model (number) ? The one shown bellow ?
Thanks for helping. I am not very familiar with electronics, but I hope I can solder connections correctly.
Therefore, no digital conversion of any kind; I stay analog.
Much appreciated.

Märklin now offer the 60906 decoder which is designed for use with AC motors. It is mfx, has more speed steps and function outputs than the old delta decoders. However if you are running on analogue, it may have some issues with the old blue transformers with its higher voltage reversing pulse.
