I can't understand why this is 'completely new tooling'. I guess they need to change the body for the different year they are modelling, and may have to change the motor from what they have used in the past due to supply issues ... I'm thinking about the freight set that goes with it though.

Yes, I quite like the look of that as well. maybe get one or two of the extra wagon to put some of my Porsche car collection on as well ...

- I'm wondering of there is a certain Porsche owner on the forum who will also get this set ...
The other one that intrigues me (no, i'm not interested in getting it) is the 'super heroes' loco which seems to have about six superheroes on it, but only three wagons to go with it. I am guessing there will be another three wagons with the other 'super heroes' in the Autumn NI, in time for Christmas.
The other item I am pondering the announcement of is the Br103 IC livery Messe-Lok. Without having a Messe to go to they have announced it. I would have thought they could have held off on this to see if the Toy Fair actually goes ahead in the middle of the year when it has been delayed until.
Some of the wagons seem to be expensive for what you get. I guess there are a lot of detail bits to fit to them, so a lot of manual work.
The 47146 log carrying wagon set also has a Trix counterpart with the cross numbers referenced in the Trix brochure but not the marklin one (except for the picture at the bottom on the page of the Marklin one). But the Trix brochure shows a train using both part numbers, implying they may have different road numbers between the two sets, although it is not stated anywhere.
The thing that amazed me is that the ballast tamper machine is Digital only - does not work in AC. Not even to travel along the rails!!!
We have another Swiss Gottardo panorama coach in the 43652, to go with the 43650 set and 43650.001 single coach. I wonder what is planned for 43651?
I quite like the set of wagons to go with the crocodile, trouble is one would also like to get the Trix set as well, as they have different road numbers.
Two extra coaches to go with the Belgian Class 1. That would make a reasonable length train for it.
I'm toying with the idea of the Italian set 47107 with the reels of wire load. I have a similar one of these wagons that was issued by Eurotrain a few years ago, so would make a reasonable unit train.
Those among us who run long container trains will have a ball with the additional offerings in the Trix brochure.
I also like the Trix Club Car for 2021.
