Hi I just bought the Sommerfeldt Spider catenary for the turntable, but I don't know exactely how to install it . Does anyone has some clues, or images or videos that can help me? The very short instructions are in German, but they are so short that even if they were in English I don't think they would be helpful! Thanks in advance, Nuno

Hi, you've got 4 masts and position them on opposite sides, 4 wires from the centre of spider web to the top of these masts, you will find each mast has 2 holes on one side about in the middle of the mast, here you insert again 4 wires for the lower hole and 4 wires for the higher hole, simple as that

Cripes! That's complicated.. Is it a complete assembly or do you have to solder every single wire?? |

The main web is complete, but I'm not sure how to hang it. It has 4 thick wires that are not very realistic (I was surprised!) and a set of thin ones, to solder or to bend their ends, I think. How do I mount the small upper inner circle? The thick wires should be connected to the masts, I suppose... It's not that simple...
I understand that Sommerfeldt has a book on catenary. If any of you have it, could you send me some photos, please? Best regards, Nuno

There are no other images or instructions in my Sommerfeldt catalogue (oops, I nearly said "cattledog" ) nor in the Sommerfeldt construction manual. My layout features Sommerfeldt catenary but I do not have a roundhouse spiderweb.
